Nothing relaxes muscles and pampers the body quite like a long soak in the tub with a good book. But adding essential oils transforms a pleasant bath experience into a beautiful personal ritual that inspires the mind, soothes the soul and nourishes the body.

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER
Essential oils and water do not mix, so it’s a really bad idea to drip them directly into your bath. Instead of dispersing throughout, they’ll float in little pools on top and cling to your skin which can cause irritation.

YOU’VE GOT OPTIONS

  1. Combine your essential oil with a carrier oil before adding it to your bath. A few tablespoons of jojoba or avocado oil will leave skin feeling hydrated and healthy by the time you step out of the tub.
  2. Mix your essential oil with 1-2 cups of Epsom salt. Experts continue to debate whether detox baths with Epsom salt have any real therapeutic value, but people have been using them to ease aches and pain for hundreds of years and they will help to keep your essential oils dispersed in your water.
